WPWebHost is a website hosting provider specifically designed for WordPress websites. It has servers in multiple locations and has an average uptime of 100% according to third-party tests.

To compare the best web hosts, we hosted the same WordPress website with each of them and tested performance, customer service and value for money. Check out the results here.

Founded in 2007, WPWebHost is a leading website hosting provider based in Southeast Asia that specializes in WordPress hosting. The company currently provides hosting services to over 100,000 customers. The company’s servers are located in two data centers, one in Singapore and one in America. The website and support are available in English.

We conducted an interview with a WPWebHost executive and learned the following.

Features and Ease of Use

As a WordPress-only website hosting company, WPWebHost only offers shared hosting and no virtual private servers or dedicated servers. They have four packages: WP Blogger, WP Lite, WP Plus and WP Geek.

Their WordPress website hosting packages include the following features:

One free domain
Backup manager for manual or scheduled backups kept for 30 days
One free domain
Free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate
10 GB to 100 GB SSD storage

It is important to talk about the average uptime. First, although it took me a while to find it, they state on their website that they have an uptime SLA of 99.5%. That’s pretty good, but what I like most is that this is well documented in their terms and conditions with clear guidelines for compensation. Secondly, third party testing shows that actual uptime was 100% over a 30 day period. This is clearly a great average and a great SLA.

Since WPWebHost focuses exclusively on WordPress website hosting, it can offer features tailored specifically to this niche. WPWebHost is integrated with Jetpack, which offers over 200 free themes that can be set up with just a few clicks. WPWebHost also integrates WordPress Toolkit for one-click installation, sandbox testing and security scanners, and offers automatic WordPress updates, website traffic statistics and much more.

Besides the excellent WordPress features, WPWebHost uses high-quality hardware, including the latest SSD storage, multiple server locations in America and Singapore for global clients, and to add even more value, they offer a free CDN to ensure that your visitors enjoy ever-faster website loading speeds and better security.

Pricing & Support

The prices are quite high compared to local and international competitors. However, if you are looking for a dedicated WordPress hosting with additional features that will allow you to create your WordPress website quickly and easily, the extra cost might be worth it.

When you checkout, you can choose to purchase hosting with a term of one, twelve, twenty-four or thirty-six months. The discounts for longer terms are quite high. I like the option to choose a no-obligation monthly trial, as well as the option to choose a longer term to get the discount. There is no free trial or free version, but they do offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

WPWebHost customer support is available 24/7, which is great, and they offer both live chat support and Facebook Messenger. I really appreciate that I can get support whenever I need it, day or night. However, there have been instances where I have had to wait several hours to get a response. The support staff, who are very knowledgeable, offer their assistance in English. One area that could be improved is the knowledge base, as there are currently no help documents available on the website.

How much does WPWebHost cost?

WPWebHost offers rates from $3 to $77. The price depends on what type of hosting plan you choose. You can see the updated pricing table (updated weekly) below.

Which WPWebHost plan should I get?

My recommendation is to start with a lower rate. You can always upgrade later. WPWebHost can help you migrate to a more expensive package. The increase in visitors often takes longer than expected, and you shouldn’t spend a lot of money until the need arises. Of course, your needs may vary, and you can consult with a WPWebHost hosting expert here.

How good is WPWebHost’s customer support?

WPWebHost is not one of our top web hosts. But this may also be due to the fact that WPWebHost is a small, unobtrusive hosting provider. A small hosting provider has its advantages – as a customer, you are more important to them. You can also check out our comparison of the most popular web hosting services here.

Verdict

WPWebHost is a subsidiary of Exabytes, one of the leading hosting providers in Southeast Asia, and therefore has access to a top-notch infrastructure for its WordPress hosting.
WPWebHost may offer a good service at a reasonable price, but can it compete with the top web hosting companies? We find it hard to say “yes”.
