RoseHosting is one of the best hosts I’ve found. The shared and VPS hosting plans really stand out, and scalability isn’t an issue either. Add them to your list for sure, but you’ll also want to shop around and watch out for those optional extras.
An Impressive Uptime Record

To compare the best web hosting providers, we have hosted the same WordPress website on each of them and checked performance, customer service and value for money. See the results here.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, RoseHosting was founded in 2001 and currently hosts over 337,000 virtual private servers (VPS) for customers in 98 countries. It claims to have had over 99.99% uptime since 2003, and considering the industry average is 99.59%, that’s pretty impressive.
RoseHosting offers a wide range of hosting services, including Linux VPS plans, managed shared hosting, cloud hosting and NVMe hosting packages, along with domain names and SSL certificates.

With such a long track record, hundreds of thousands of end users and an impressive uptime record, is RoseHosting really as good as it seems? As always, that depends on what you’re looking for in a hosting provider.
The good news is that we’re about to dive in for a closer look at RoseHosting. I’ll delve into features, pricing, support, and more, and by the end of this review, you’ll know what’s good-and what’s not so good-about RoseHosting.
Features

Not Bad for the Price You Pay
RoseHosting has an unusual mix of inexpensive features and enterprise-grade hardware, including SSD storage, free weekly backups and free website migration services. It also offers 24/7 customer service, though it’s fairly standard.
As for free features, RoseHosting gives you a choice between cPanel or the DirectAdmin control panel (which costs a bit more), depending on which package you choose, as well as Softaculous and SitePad for website builders.

No overselling
Business ethics can sometimes set a company apart, and this is the case with RoseHosting. In the same way that airlines oversell flights because they know people will cancel, most web hosting providers oversell server space because they know that not everyone will maximize it.
RoseHosting doesn’t work like that. They don’t oversell disk space or bandwidth, which means that other users won’t slow you down by overusing resources.
US Servers
All of RoseHosting’s servers are based in St. Louis, Missouri, and meet a number of minimum specifications, including two Quad Xeon CPUs, 128 GB of RAM, SSD storage, and gigabit ethernet ports. This makes their shared servers more powerful than some of the dedicated servers I’ve seen.
SSL Certificates
Like many website hosting companies, RoseHosting also offers SSL certificates, but they are not free on all packages. It has a good range when it comes to the providers it offers, however, and sells them at a reasonable discount.

Epic uptime record
If speed is important to you, you’ll be happy to know that RoseHosting offers “hyper-fast NVMe” packages. This means that your website should load ten times faster than SSDs, which in turn are ten times faster than conventional HDDs.
These packages are also fully managed, which means that RoseHosting will take care of the server setup and maintenance, leaving you to focus on your business.
Ease of Use
The good news is that RoseHosting’s backup system is fully automated, with free weekly backups on all VPS plans. If that’s not enough for you, you can pay a little extra for more frequent backups.
Speaking of paying extra, you’ll also have to pay to use the DirectAdmin control panel to manage your virtual server, but it’s a relatively small price to pay for the functionality it unlocks.

Create an account
Signing up with RoseHosting is easy, but for some reason, it doesn’t allow you to purchase a domain as part of the process. However, it does provide domain name system (DNS) details, so it’s easy to buy a domain name elsewhere and point it to your new server. The process itself is not difficult.
Connecting a domain and installing WordPress
Installing WordPress is even easier thanks to the one-click installer, and assigning a domain name was easier than it has been with other hosts purely because RoseHosting sends a helpful welcome email containing the information you need to assign your domain and get it up and running.
Specialized App Hosting
RoseHosting is like many other website hosts in that it offers specialized packages for hosting different applications. What’s unusual here, however, is the sheer number of applications for which it offers dedicated packages, including WordPress, Magento, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, MediaWiki, and more.

It also offers a range of Linux servers on CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, and OpenSUSE. This specialized hosting makes it much easier to get started and automatically optimizes your server for the software you host.
Managed Hosting
If you need a hand with server administration and management, it’s a good idea to pay a little extra for managed hosting, where the host spends a certain number of hours per month proactively managing your server, usually in addition to reactive monitoring. RoseHosting is not alone in offering this, but is notable for offering it at affordable prices and with different use cases such as e-commerce or CMS hosting in mind.
Custom VPS Packages
If you are looking for a fully customizable VPS, RoseHosting has you covered. You can easily build a plan that fits your budget and technical requirements. Using a sliding scale, you can increase bandwidth, select your operating system (OS) and control panel, or add a one-click

Performance

Not Bad
If you’re looking for a host with thousands of positive customer reviews, then you’re going to have to look elsewhere. RoseHosting isn’t big enough to get that kind of attention.
However, it does have reasonable feedback from users who have shared their reviews, and even the negative ones don’t seem to mention performance issues. In general, the negative reviews are related to customer service issues.

In addition, I have put the company to the test with a Sucuri page load test, and the results are a reflection of the physical location of their servers. The servers are lightning fast in North America and slower in Europe, with India and Singapore showing the slowest load times.
It averages pretty well worldwide, and if you’re primarily serving US customers, you could do a lot worse.
Support

Reasonable, but Not a Game-Changer
I have found that most of the problems with RoseHosting come from customers who had unresolved customer service issues. However, based on my experience, it’s similar to what you’d find with most other hosts.
The good news is that it has a fairly reliable support system, as well as a helpful knowledge base. If you choose one of the managed hosting plans, you can also expect more extensive support.
I put the customer service team to the test, and received a response within five minutes on live chat and within 20 minutes via email.

They also responded to a support ticket in less than half an hour, and I was impressed with the friendliness of the team at all times.
